The challenge
B.E. Meyers faced the challenge of replacing their outdated, ad-hoc website with a robust, easily manageable platform that could effectively represent their complex product lineup and market segments. The new website needed to strike a balance between appealing to military/defense clients and showcasing their technological innovation for broader markets. Key requirements included improved SEO, better product categorization, and the ability to provide detailed product information while adhering to ITAR regulations.
Notably, the project scope expanded significantly during development to include several custom features and integrations not initially discussed, requiring flexibility from our team. Additionally, the site needed to accommodate their upcoming 50th anniversary celebration and new product launches, all while allowing for easy content management by the B.E. Meyers team.

What We Did
01 ENHANCED MAIN NAVIGATION AND HOMEPAGE
We created a custom main navigation with intuitive categories and subcategories, complemented by a sticky header for improved user experience. The homepage was designed to guide customers through a personalized journey, highlighting various applications and segments relevant to their unique use case.
02 IMPROVED PRODUCT DETAIL PAGES
We restructured the product catalog and enhanced product detail pages with custom content blocks for images below the main product image. We also added product icons/tags with tooltips explaining unique attributes, allowing for better product presentation and easier customer decision-making.
03 CUSTOM CMS IMPLEMENTATION
We developed a custom Content Management System (CMS) for the About Us/History page, incorporating a more feature-rich version similar to successful examples in the industry. This gives B.E. Meyers the flexibility to easily update and manage their corporate story and product information.
04 DIGITAL ASSET MANAGER
We implemented a Digital Asset Manager that supports JPG, PDF, and video links from Vimeo and YouTube. This allows defined customer groups to view and download assets such as PDFs, enhancing B.E. Meyers' ability to share information securely.
05 ENHANCED CONTACT FORM
We developed a custom contact form that allows for multiple inquiries through the use of dropdown menus. This streamlines communication with customers and efficiently manages various types of inquiries, improving overall customer service.
06 CUSTOM DISCOUNT AND PROMOTION FEATURES
We implemented custom discount code input functionality and expanded promotional features. This allows B.E. Meyers to offer targeted pricing and promotions to different customer segments, including military/law enforcement and brand ambassadors.
07 COMPREHENSIVE SYSTEM INTEGRATION
We integrated multiple systems including Stock2Shop for ERP connection, Salesforce for CRM, BambooHR for HR management, and various marketing and analytics tools. This created a cohesive ecosystem that streamlines B.E. Meyers' operations across different departments.
08 DATA MIGRATION AND SEO PRESERVATION
We executed a careful migration of historical order and customer data, blog content, and meta data. We also implemented 301 redirects to maintain SEO value from the old site, ensuring a smooth transition without loss of online presence or valuable historical information.
