The challenge
CME needed to clean up its eCommerce site to address a poorly implemented backend configuration. The site had an overwhelming amount of unorganized data and attributes, which greatly affected the site's health and generally made the user experience slow, unoptimized, and not secure. Additionally, they were also having significant challenges with their search engine that they were using. Mobile traffic was suboptimal due to poor mobile site optimization and user experience.

Approach
CME wanted to improve their backend processes as their previous site's overall performance was quite poor. They also wanted to keep the look and feel of the site as much as possible while adding some enhancements to improve the customer's shopping experience on the site. Binary Anvil worked closely with CME to understand their business and extend Magento to meet, or exceed, their needs.

Customize a Search by MPN functionality for customers to land on pre-configured products easily and quickly on the website and add them to their shopping cart.

Customize a brand page so that consumers can easily and quickly browse through product categories under a certain brand or manufacturer that is showcased on the website.

01 RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN (RWD)
Redesigned the website to reflect the brand's identity to significantly improve user experience and keep it up to date with modern design standards. We used a RWD approach to keep the site's usability levels consistent across multiple devices.
02 CUSTOM SEARCH BY MPN (Manufacturer's Part Number) FUNCTIONALITY
A custom Search by MPN functionality that allows CME customers to land directly on a pre-configured PDP of the product they are searching if an exact MPN match was found.
03 CUSTOM BRAND PAGE
A custom product listing page that allows CME to showcase brands and manufacturers products carried by CME. Allows customers the ability to read a brief description of each manufacturer and filter through products specific to that manufacturer.
