The challenge
Frontier Justice needed a new website to replace their WooCommerce platform. The business had outgrown the limitations of WooCommerce and due to the limited out of the box functionality they chose Adobe Commerce for its wide range of solutions and extensibility. The website needed to offer a wide array of products and services ranging from shooting range memberships to fashion items from their in-house boutique. A customizable booking system was implemented in Adobe Commerce to allow booking, management, and cancelation of classes and range lane reservations.

With many shoppers using different types of devices that can access websites, Frontier Justice should be responsive to these platforms. The design and UI should also be lightweight and well designed to make it appealing and adaptable to end-users.

Utilize Adobe Commerce's native functionality to provide Frontier Justice with a seamless management system to enhance their online marketing capabilities by leveraging out-of-the-box content management and marketing features.

Ensure that the product catalog is top notch by having a solid architecture that can assist customers with their shopping experience. At the same time, allowing the administrators to easily segment and manage products for promotions which can drive conversion rates significantly.

Build several custom modules and integrations to extend Adobe Commerce's functionality to provide more enhanced features that align with Frontier Justice's business requirements.

Leverage readily available 3rd-party extensions to supplement the major features included on the website (i.e. booking classes, lane reservations, membership subscriptions) and ensure they are compatible with both Binary Anvil's custom modules and Adobe Commerce’s core code.
What We Did
01 ECOMMERCE RE-PLATFORM TO ADOBE COMMERCE
Binary Anvil rebuilt the website using Adobe Commerce. Custom features from the old website were re-built using best coding standards and practices to avoid tech debt.
02 RESPONSIVE WEB DESIGN (RWD)
Redesigned the website to reflect the brand's identity to significantly improve user experience and keep it up to date with modern design standards. Binary Anvil implemented the site with a "mobile first" approach to shopping.
03 IMPROVED CATALOG ARCHITECTURE
Provided a more structured catalog architecture that vastly improves customer shopping experience. We also streamlined the product attributes and categorization for ease and accessibility for both the end-user and the administrator.
04 ENHANCED MAIN NAVIGATION
Designed and implemented a custom main navigation that includes up to three top level product categories. Ad space changes based on what category the customer is viewing.
05 DATA MIGRATION
Sales and customer data were migrated to Adobe Commerce. Historical order data was migrated to ensure sales records remained consistent. Customer data was also migrated to allow existing customers to use the new website without the need to create new accounts.
06 CUSTOM FORM BUILDER
Binary Anvil implemented an extension that allows the customer to create fillable forms that can be linked on the website and submitted to a repository where the form can be actioned by the store admin.
07 BOOKING CLASSES, LANE RESERVATIONS, MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS
Binary Anvil customized third party extensions to achieve Frontier Justice's specific requirements as needed. This includes booking seats for the different classes they offer, reservations on shooting range lanes, and offering different membership subscription tiers to their customers.
08 MULTIPLE COUPON CODE + PROMOTION EXCLUSIONS MODULE
Binary Anvil implemented a module that allows the customer to apply multiple discount codes on their shopping cart to stack several discounts. This module also gives the store admin the ability to exclude a rule/promotion when different rules are active, providing a personalized promotions experience for the customer.
09 CUSTOMER PICKUP RESTRICTIONS
Developed a module that allows customers to designate a representative to pick up the order that has been purchased from the website, but only if the customer has met certain conditions based on their cart. This module also allows the Adobe Commerce administrator to specify which products can be picked up by a representative from the admin panel.
